“Looser”, a Globomedia production (MEDIAPRO Group) for Flooxer, is set for premiere. The new series is an emotional journey, a story of friendship, romance, a psychotropic experience but above all a belly-splitting comedy, which sees “Soy una pringada” tries to discover if what is really wrong with her is that nobody loves her.
The series written, directed and starring Esty Quesada (“Soy una pringada”), is half-way between an autobiography and fiction, where the main character looks to expand, complete and contextualise her cultural universe, full of references from the 1980’s and 90’s set in the 21st century language of modern youth culture.
The comedy, with a host of asides to a new generation of “freaks”, will tackle the universal story of all the mis-fits and will feature a number of famous faces such as Brays Efe, Mariona Terés, the singer Gisela and the performers Milo and Jedet, among many others who will join Esty Quesada, the show’s main character. In addition, as the series moves forward, the audience can expect a host of surprise guest appearances.
The series features the executive producers Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi who were behind the big-hit films “La Llamada” and “Paquita Salas” and whose ability to connect with audiences augurs well for one of the new and brightest stars of the Spanish audiovisual scene.
“La Pringada” and her team of helpers in “Looser” got together on the 16th May to celebrate the launch of the series with a big party which helped to showcase the premiere.
