2nd phase of filming of “La víctima número 8” underway in Madrid

Co-produced by MEDIAPRO, Telemadrid and ETB, the series is set to be presented at the FesTVal in Vitoria with the premiere of the first episode
2th July 2018

The Hanging Bridge of Biscay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007; the century old University Hospital in Basurto; the cutting-edge design IDOM building and the old firing range at Galdakao have all featured in the first phase of filming of the series in the Basque capital as well as beautiful backdrops such as the Arboleda and the Aranzelai dam.
July sees the filming start up again this time in Madrid where they will put the wraps on the series, whose pre-premiere is slated at the FesTVal in Vitoria (3rd to the 9th September).
Next week sees the production team and cast move to Madrid for the second part of filming of the three-way production featuring the two regional networks ETB and Telemadrid and the MEDIAPRO Group, via its production companies Globomedia and K 2000.
The Madrid neighbourhoods of Lavapies and Latina are the back-drop to the second phase of filming of “La víctima número 8” for the next three weeks. The Vistillas Garden, Casino Park, Argumosa Street and Agustín Lara Square are all set to be key venues in the fiction series.
The series is created, written and directed by the production team behind “Vis a vis” and “La casa de papel”, with Marc Cistaré heading up the executive production, Alejandro Bazzano directing with David Azcano the photographic director. The eight episodes of the series have been written by Esther Morales, Abraham Sastre, David Bermejo, Sara Antuña and Marc Cistaré.
Filmed both inside and outside in natural settings, the plot kicks off with an Islamist terrorist attack in the Old Town in Bilbao. Halfway through filming the action moves to Madrid where the series is set to finish. The fiction series delves into the back-story of those caught up in the attack.
The thriller revolves around how the characters come to terms with the consequences of the attack. Both victims and perpetrators will be centre stage in the drama with the police investigation trying to catch the people responsible for the attacks and provide answers to the many question marks which it caused.
César Mateo, María de Nati, Verónika Moral, Marcial Álvarez, Farah Hamed, Lisi Linder and Iñaki Ardanaz head the cast of this latest production alongside Óscar Zafra, Alfonso Torregrosa, Itziar Lazkano, Khaled Kouka, Moussa Echarif, Jesús Ruyman, Itziar Aizpuru and the child actors Son Khoury, Youssef Bougarouame and Auritz Salteráin.
The first episode will pre-premiere at the FesTVal in Vitoria (from the 3rd to the 9th September).
