MEDIAPRO acquires in France more than 260 matches per season of the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League


 

The new 24/7 channel dedicated to national and international football will offer both European competitions over a three-year cycle between 2021 and 2024

MEDIAPRO make fresh advances in France with the acquisition of the principal rights package to the UEFA Europa League and the new UEFA competition, Europa Conference League, for the seasons 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The new themed channel will offer all the matches from the two European competitions (except first choice) amounting to a total of over 260 matches per season.

The new format of the UEFA Europa League and the upcoming Europa Conference League will get underway in the 2021-2022 season with new time slots for Thursdays and matches to be played at 4:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., thereby increasing the range of options available to viewers. The two competitions could host up to a maximum of six French teams.

This acquisition allows incorporating premium content to the already attractive offer the new channel is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2020, with 24/7 programming schedule exclusively dedicated to football and live broadcast of nine Ligue 1 games and eight Ligue 2 matches, as well as news, debate and analysis programs and in-depth reports. The channel aspires to become a benchmark of national and international football for all fans in France.
