Telson, the MEDIAPRO Group post-production company, has added two new nominations for the Goya and Macondo awards for its design, mixing and sound work for the films “El Buen Patrón”, by Fernando León de Aranoa and “El Olvido Que Seremos” by Fernando Trueba.
The sound supervisor Pelayo Gutiérrez (3 Goyas and 14 nominations), and the mixer Valeria Arcieri have been nominated by the Spanish Film Academy for their work on the film “El Buen Patrón”, produced by THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO, which has picked up a record 20 nominations since the launch of the awards which this year have reached their 36th edition.
The sound designer Eduardo Castro and the mixer Alberto Ovejero, have been nominated in the best sound category for the Macondo awards which the Colombian Film Academy present annually for their work on “El Olvido Que Seremos”. The film’s director Fernando Trueba has picked up nine nominations for the same awards. The sound technicians were also nominated this year for the Platino Ibero-American awards for their work on the same film. In addition, Eduardo Castro won the 2012 Macondo sound award, for his work on the psychological thriller “La Cara Oculta”, by the Colombian director Andrés Baiz.
The 12th February next year at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, the winner of the Goya for best sound will be announced, which Telson is up for its sound work on the feature-length films “Madres Paralelas” by Pedro Almodóvar, “Maixabel” by Icíar Bollaín and “Tres” by Juanjo Giménez. The Macondo award for best sound will be announced on Monday December 6th, in the gala event organized at the Cinemateca in Bogotá, for his work for Telson for “El Olvido Que Seremos” which is up against “Lavaperros”, “Los Días De La Ballena” and “Monos”.
