The new Mediapro Mexico production center will host four FOX Deportes programs
GRUP MEDIAPRO and FOX Deportes have signed a five-year agreement for the television network to produce four daily programs at the Group’s new facilities in Mexico City. FOX Deportes is to be housed in a 900 m² studio fully-equipped with all the latest technology, from where it will broadcast three daily editions of its new sports program "Total Sports 360" and a nightly edition of new soccer debate program "Punto Final".
GRUP MEDIAPRO's new production center in the Mexican capital is located in the heart of the city on Paseo de la Reforma on the seventh floor of the Torre Capital Reforma building. The center, equipped with the latest EVS and Sony technology, will have four studios. In addition to the FOX programs, Mediapro will also produce Professional Video Game League (LVP) programming and the technical fitting out of the center in Mexico City that comes with complete remote production rooms, featuring satellite and fiber connectivity.
The new production facility in Mexico City is the latest addition to the Group’s installations in Mexico, where it also has another center in the north of the country in Monterrey, with multiple remote production rooms and teleport. Both production centers are connected to fiber network. With this new production center, GRUP MEDIAPRO adds to those the company already owns in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Argentina, Colombia, the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
GRUP MEDIAPRO has an impressive and ever-growing presence in the Americas, having its headquarters in Mexico, with six Outside Broadcast units and two DSNGs. The company boasts ample experience in covering sporting events including the Mexican Pacific League, the Expansion League, the Caribbean Series of the Dominican Republic of baseball, Women's Soccer, Liga MX and World Cup qualifiers for the CONCACAF region.
