El Terrat (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) produced the FC Barcelona 125th anniversary gala, which took place on November 29th at the Liceu Theatre in the Catalan capital. The event was a tribute to the club and its achievements and was presented by the journalist Sandra Sabatés, Llorenç Tarrés and the match day announcer at the Spotify Camp Nou, Aleix Santacana. 2,000 invited guests were in attendance to enjoy the evening which was full of moving moments co-produced by Barça Studios and 3Cat, with the support of El Terrat (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) and was also broadcast live on Barça One and 3Cat.
The red carpet at the Liceu saw club legends such as Ronald Koeman, Xavi Hernández, Txiki Begiristain and Gerard Piqué, among others; representatives from some of the club’s greatest teams across their history, players from the club’s current line-ups as well as former trainers such as Frank Rijkaard and Carles Rexach along with delegations from the city’s institutions such as the Barcelona mayor, Jaume Collboni and former Catalan regional presidents Jordi Pujol, Artur Mas, Joaquim Torra and Pere Aragonès. The evening featured a host of surprises and magic moments with the comedy provided by Pep Plaza, Toni Albà and Jordi Ríos as well as a special anniversary cake provided by the master cake maker Christian Escribà.
Over the course of the gala the three candidates nominated for official song of the 125th anniversary were performed: ‘Un sentiment, ‘Del bressol a l’infinit’ with ‘L’escut al pit’, finally chosen as the 125th anniversary song. In addition, Joan Dausà played the piano for the 'Cant del Barça', created for the 75th anniversary.
From 18:30 Barça One put on a special program which captured the pre-ceremony events. Àngels Prieto and Marc Brau presented the show which continued once the gala had finished with reactions to the unique anniversary evening.
