‘El 47’ and ‘Celeste’, both THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO productions, continue their unstoppable awards parade. The latest accolade came last weekend in Pontevedra with the Feroz Awards presented by the Asociación de Informadores Cinematográficos de España (AICE). The actress Clara Segura picked up the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Award for her role as Carmen, Manolo Vital’s wife in ‘El 47’, the film directed by Marcel Barrena and produced by Laura Fdez. Espeso and Javier Méndez.
The THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO production, distributed by A Contracorriente Films, has already picked up 8 Gaudí Awards - Best Film, Best Production Direction (Carlos Apolinario), Best Actor in a Lead Role (Eduard Fernández), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Clara Segura), Best Costume Design (Irantzu Ortiz, Olga Rodal), Best Visual Effects (Laura Canals, Ivan López Hernández), Best Make-up and Hair Design (Karol Tornaria) and Best Audience Award-; 2 Forqué Awards - Best Feature-length Fiction and the Best Educational Values Award-, it’s also the most nominated film for the upcoming Goya Awards, with 14 nominations as well as being up for 10 awards at the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos.
‘Celeste’, the Movistar Plus+ original series in co-production with 100 Balas (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) picked up a Feroz Award in the Best Comedy Series category. Created by Diego San José, directed by Elena Trapé and starring Carmen Machi, ‘Celeste’ has also been on an awards’ role and has been a hit with both audiences and critics alike. The Feroz Award for Best Comedy Series presented last Saturday comes on the back of the award in the same category at the Almeria International Film Festival (FICAL) and which saw Carmen Machi also pick up the Best Actress award for her role as Sara Santano.
The series which was presented before an audience of 5,000 spectators at the San Sebastián Film Festival, kicked off the awards season at Serielizados Fest, where Diego San José picked up the Best Script Award. 'Celeste’ is also up for two awards at the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos (CEC) awards in the Best Series and Best Cast categories, with the awards ceremony set to take place on 3rd February at the Palacio de la Prensa in Madrid. Carmen Machi has also been nominated for the Best TV Actress award at the Fotogramas de Plata awards.
