The Istanbul 2027 Organising Committee has selected IMAGINA as the host broadcaster for the fourth edition of the European Games
Europe's National Olympic Committees will send their best athletes to Istanbul for the Games, which will take place from 16 to 27 June 2027. The Games will feature 26 sports, 22 of which are also on the sports programme of the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028, cementing Istanbul 2027's place as Europe's premier multi-sport event and a key stepping stone on the road to LA28.
Istanbul 2027 will bring together disciplines with deep Olympic roots, including athletics, gymnastics, volleyball, judo, taekwondo, fencing and rugby sevens, alongside fast-growing sports such as padel and sport climbing. This edition will also mark the European Games debut of beach sprint rowing, weightlifting and squash, the last of which will make its Olympic debut at LA28.
IMAGINA, which will continue to operate under the GRUP MEDIAPRO name until 31 December 2026, was chosen following a competitive selection process.
As host broadcaster, IMAGINA will produce and distribute the official world feed of the Games, covering every discipline and ceremony for broadcasters and platforms worldwide. The operation will include multiple live feeds, cutting-edge technology and wide-ranging editorial coverage, bringing the competition and Europe's top athletes to millions of viewers.
The appointment adds to IMAGINA's extensive track record at major sporting and multi-sport events, ensuring world-class production and global distribution to bring the European Games to audiences across Europe and beyond.

A first in the history of TV coverage of China’s professional football leagues: the host feed for a match has been produced jointly by local and foreign production teams
GRUP MEDIAPRO has been selected by the Chinese Professional Football League (CFL) to be part of the joint production of two matches in the Chinese Super League (CSL), the country’s top football competition.
This is the first time the Chinese Super League has explored bringing a foreign professional team into the production of host feeds. For the occasion, GRUP MEDIAPRO assembled seven professionals (a match director, an EVS director, a camera rigger, a CCU technician and three camera operators) with extensive experience at major international sports events such as the Olympic Games, the UEFA Champions League and LALIGA. They worked alongside the local teams to produce two Round 27 matches.
Ahead of the matches, the GRUP MEDIAPRO team and the local production team prepared together, covering camera configuration, production plans and the division of camera work at the venue. The broadcast setup was scaled up to 19 cameras, the most ever used in producing Chinese football matches, yielding positive results in visual communication, shot arrangement and the broadcast’s overall presentation.
This collaboration, which aims to give CSL broadcasts a quality boost, builds on a seminar held in April 2026 between the two organizations that focused on sharing knowledge and experience in elite sports production.

The group is producing 16 hours of live coverage every day as part of the 2026 World Skate Games
GRUP MEDIAPRO is running the main broadcast of the World Skate Tour, held as part of the 2026 World Skate Games, from the Paraguayan Olympic Committee’s facilities in Asunción. Spanning October 2 to 18, it is one of the standout events on the international skateboarding calendar.
The broadcast is live every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (UTC-3). A technical deployment spearheaded by OB Unit 32, configured with 10 cameras, ensures a top-tier production and wall-to-wall coverage of every competition day.
The operation is powered by a team of video operators, EVS operators, camera operators, producers, assistants and a crane operator, working in lockstep to bring every detail of the street and park disciplines to audiences around the world.
From its production hub in Buenos Aires, Argentina, GRUP MEDIAPRO also distributes the international feed to rights holders worldwide for the vert, park, street and artistic skating events.
With this project, Mediapro Argentina continues to strengthen its presence at the region’s major sporting events, bringing technology, talent and experience to live international productions.

The show airs on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on European Champions League matchdays
‘La Pachanga’ is the new sports show on Replay, GRUP MEDIAPRO’s channel, built around football news and everything that happens on each competition matchday. With a laid-back tone, the show follows the LALIGA matches live every matchday and serves up all of the day’s highlights, blending information and instant analysis with livelier, entertainment-driven content. Besides recapping the action on the pitch, it keeps a close eye on the conversation around football: social media, quotes, key figures, viral images, fun facts and the topics making headlines.
Mateo Sánchez, Javi Sánchez, Ivan Estrada, Dani Nistal, Sara Sánchez, Pau Pijoan, Carlos Ponte, Andrea Pérez and Júlia Cortina are among the show’s regular faces. It runs on Saturdays and Sundays alongside the league matchday, from 4 p.m. to midnight (CEST), adapting its content and pace to whatever unfolds during the day. It also goes on air on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to coincide with Champions League matchdays, from 8 to 11:15 p.m. (CEST). The show is available on Replay through the main operators and the channel’s website, and from 11 p.m. it’s also on YouTube, with the highlights.

Led by Erik Harley, 20 celebrities will guide us through some of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic buildings in Catalonia
On Sunday, October 18, at 10:30 p.m., ‘Nous Guerrers’ arrives on 2Cat. With 2026 marking Gaudí Year, this new El Terrat production joins the commemoration with an original concept: a competition to discover the architect’s work and legacy from a different angle.
In ‘Nous Guerrers,’ 20 celebrities become one-day guides to some of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic buildings in Catalonia. Erik Harley, an urban studies expert and public communicator, is at the helm. In each episode, two celebrities spend a full day delving into the history, fun facts and architecture of a distinctive Gaudí building. They talk to experts and witnesses who also let them uncover architecture as it was lived firsthand. After researching on their own under Harley’s supervision, they must prove everything they’ve learned by leading a guided tour in front of an audience.
Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Park Güell, Torre Bellesguard, Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Casa Calvet, the Crypt of the Colònia Güell, Nau Gaudí in Mataró and the Pavilions of the Güell Estate are the settings for this competition, which invites us to discover the architecture of a genius with fresh eyes.
